Steele worked with designer Nigel Irens to modify the hull lines to suit his taste and a schooner rig. Nigel's impact is particularly evident in the design of the rig.... rather "rigs" . Two basic rig concepts are offered; a traditional 'full' rig and a more evolved 'rationalized' version, above, offering less rigging and simpler handling. The philosophy is to blend advances in materials, sails and rig design with an appropriate mix of tradition, and tailor each vessel's rig to suit her owner, his crew and cruising plans.
