Bristol Schooner
DECK

( for John Steele's Papa)

Bristol Schooner accommodation plan

Papa, the first Bristol Schooner, is being built in the composite wood/epoxy construction methods Covey Island is known for: frames and planking of Douglas Fir, laminated and sheathed with epoxy and e-glass. Her decks will be traditional, straight laid Douglas fir. Nova Scotian oak, ash and pine will be used for interior joinery, while the hatches, deck fittings and cockpit will be built in Black Locust.
